SWMW contracts a full-time National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) to provide on-site supervision and consultation. Continual research within the industry allows us to examine accident trends, fatalities and causation factors; reporting the findings with recommendations to improve our internal safety program. Southwest and Midwest Design & Construction strive to ensure that our policies and procedures for safety measures are constantly updated, monitored and enforced. Management, project co-ordinators, supervisors and workers are required to ensure we meet all legal requirements and maintain the highest level of safety standards. All sub-trades will receive a safety orientation upon arrival on site.
Southwest and Midwest Design & Construction assume the role of the prime contractor at our job sites in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and provide first aid, emergency response plans, postings, signage, site orientations, and disaster contingencies.
