Mid-West Design & Construction was founded in Medicine Hat, Alberta. We started out servicing the agricultural market by providing high quality farm building solutions. As a direct result of that success, we grew quickly and expanded to the commercial and industrial markets.
As a result of the success of Mid-West Design & Construction we decided to establish our sister company, Southwest Design & Construction in Lethbridge, Alberta.
This expanded our footprint in Southern Alberta and provided us with a platform for future growth.

Together, the SWMW Group of Companies have continued to transform the size and shape of our business through strategic growth and expansion. From our beginnings as a dealer of agricultural steel storage products, over forty-five years later we have become one of Western Canada’s leading general contractors in today’s market. The companies have won numerous design awards and received recognition by some of North America’s major steel building manufacturers.
