Kainai Forage Hay Storage
The Kainai Forage Hay Storage project highlights SWMW’s ability to deliver large-scale agricultural storage construction over multiple phases. Completed between 2019 and 2023 near Stand Off, Alberta, the project involved four pre-engineered rigid frame buildings totaling 440,250 sq. ft., designed to support high-capacity hay storage with durable flooring systems built for long-term use.
This project also required significant site coordination, including clearing, excavation, gravel base installation, and more than 100 concrete piles. One of the biggest challenges was building in the open plains of southern Alberta, where high winds demanded added planning, custom bracing, and extra on-site coordination to keep the project moving safely and efficiently. The finished result reflects SWMW’s experience managing large, phased agricultural storage projects with strong execution from start to finish.
