This project features a 62′ x 300′ Meridian potato storage facility designed to handle roughly 5,600 tons. What makes this build stand out is the external fan house, a newer concept at the time, designed to follow the arch of the building.

That design choice keeps the roofline clean and continuous while still delivering the airflow performance needed for proper storage conditions.

Inside, the system is built to maintain consistent temperature and ventilation, helping protect the crop and reduce loss over time.

The Courtland Hill Potato Storage project involved the construction of a new potato storage facility in Bow Island, Alberta. Completed in 2019, this building was designed to support efficient long-term storage while providing the controlled environment needed to help protect product quality.

This facility is a 62′ x 300′ Meridian building with capacity to store approximately 5,600 tons of potatoes. A key feature of the project is its external fan house, designed as part of a newer storage concept. Rather than interrupting the profile of the building, the fan house follows the arch of the storage structure, creating a continuous roof line while supporting the ventilation needs of the facility.
