Murray Chevrolet Cadillac
Working with the team at Murray Chevrolet Cadillac, we took the time to understand our client’s needs and planned our work accordingly. As a local business, it was key that they were able to operate day to day and continue to serve their customers. As a result, our project team planned accordingly and we allowed our client to operate with minimal interruption. During the project, completed in 2015, our team installed two custom steel tower structures over the entrances and retrofitted the building with an apolic-metal panel system. We also installed an integrated drains a vestibules during the retrofit.

Addition and Renovation
Ever tried to renovate a business without slowing it down?
That was the situation here. The existing dealership needed a full upgrade, but closing the doors wasn’t an option.Â
Customers still needed to come in. Staff still had work to do. Everything had to keep moving.Â
So that’s where we started. Not with drawings or materials, but with how the space actually worked day to day.
Project Details, Challenges and Solutions
Project Size: 25,000 sq. ft.

Year of Work: 2015
Before any construction began, we took the time to understand the flow of the dealership. Where people entered, how vehicles moved through the space, and what areas couldn’t be touched during certain hours.
From there, we built a plan that worked around the business, not against it. Work was phased carefully to keep disruption low.Â
Some days meant adjusting schedules. Other days meant shifting priorities. That flexibility made all the difference. The dealership stayed open, and the project kept moving.
This is where experience shows up.
At SWMW, we’ve handled a lot of renovations in active environments. Places where shutting down just isn’t realistic. It takes more than just construction knowledge. It takes communication, quick problem-solving, and a team that knows how to adapt without losing momentum.
Throughout the project, we stayed closely connected with the client, trades, and suppliers. Everyone knew what was happening and what came next. That kind of clarity helps avoid delays and keeps things running smoothly.
It’s not complicated, but it does take discipline. And it’s something we take seriously on every project.
The renovation covered 25,000 square feet and focused on both performance and appearance.
We installed two custom steel tower structures at the main entrances, giving the building a stronger presence and a more defined look. The exterior was also updated with a modern metal panel system, improving durability while creating a clean, consistent finish.
Inside and at entry points, upgrades like new vestibules and improved drainage helped make the space more functional for both staff and customers.
It’s the kind of work people notice right away, but also the kind that keeps performing long after the project wraps up.
Projects like this come down to trust.
You need a construction partner who understands that your business doesn’t stop just because construction starts. Someone who can plan ahead, adjust when needed, and keep things moving without creating unnecessary headaches.
That’s where SWMW stands out. We don’t just build. We think through how the space is used, how the work will impact your operations, and how to deliver the result without getting in your way.
If you’re planning a renovation or new build, it’s worth having that conversation early. Reach out to the SWMW team and let’s talk about what your project needs to succeed.
